Travelling through Time and Space

How did we get here? What led us here? Did we plan this or was this divine vengeance for our savageries?

        “As it begins, so shall it end”- Acephalous. Remember the Neanderthals? We, the Homo-sapiens, are responsible for the extinction of an entire species. We began our journey murdering the Neanderthals and everytime we did something remarkable we followed it through something ghastly. We are a true example of macabre because sooner or later we will destroy ourselves. No, you really don’t have to be a prophet or a rocket scientist to foretell the future. We have developed fancy weapons that can destroy in seconds and with amazing accuracy. We have “great” world leaders who are ready to take-up arms. Our murderous intent has not disappeared but has manifested itself manifold. There are no more Neanderthals or white-rhinos or the Sabre-tooth to be killed. It’s just us now.

        Nature has its way, the survival of the fittest. Is it really the nature’s way or have we caught hold of nature’s throat and forced it to act the way we, the great humans, want it to? Even if we go by “survival of the fittest” then a very important question presents itself. The question that our highly intelligent race can easily answer, or can it? The question – Who is fit to survive?

        If by fit we mean killing each other, winning race, being ahead, then whole purpose of life fails miserably. If by fit we mean thinking individuals with compassion, helping others move ahead then why are they behind? This question must be answered if we are to move ahead successfully, peacefully.
